About the blog
Welcome to the Redhopscotch blog, where I hop around between growing and making, always questioning and always learning. I share my experimentations and discoveries on gardening, cooking, and crafts, hoping to spark your curiosity and inspire collaboration. I'd love to hear from you if you are interested in similar kinds of gardening, crafting or cooking as I am, and perhaps we can swap notes!

Growing adventures
Join me as I experiment with growing edible plants, particularly perennial and unusual edibles. Our allotmenmt is sandy and exposed, and we have no access to mains water, but apart from that...;)
I aim to update a couple of times a week.

Growing soya beans
This year I'm giving soya beans another go. Last time I tried growing them I was not very successful, but this time was better. The difference? I treated them more like bush french beans, watering very frequently. It has also been a hot summer. The variety I'm growing is Gaia (sp?) from Real Seeds.
